Simon Henderson
Simon Henderson (Managing Director), has over ten years’ experience in the lift industry. He joined Grant Elevators in 2003, working under his Grandfather, John A. Grant, who founded the company.
Simon was appointed Managing Director in 2005 with the primary role of overseeing the day-to-day running of the company. He has been responsible for the development of a national presence, including the establishment of a Sydney office and has championed exclusive distribution agreements with key European manufacturers.
Under his direction, the company has reached a fivefold increase in revenue, which now exceeds $15 million p/a, and has increased the company’s share of both commercial and multi-story public residential markets. The company now competes successfully in the Mid to High Rise commercial market providing complete installation solutions.
Simon has a Bachelor of Commerce, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA, and Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Paul Henderson
Paul Henderson (Director), has over 20 years’ experience in the elevator industry.
Paul comes from an accounting background and is the Managing Director of Elevator Sales, Australia’s largest elevator manufacturing company. His expertise lies in the application of special requirements for commercial and industrial purposes, such as high rise buildings, hospitals and shopping centres.
Paul’s expertise in managing large projects gets him involved in the design and manufacture of customised lifts for buildings such as; Woodside Plaza, Burswood Hotel, Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre, Sydney Opera House, ABC Studios, Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, and the Auckland War Memorial.
Paul is an Australian Chartered Accountant and has a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. He is also a member of the Standards Australia Committee for Lifts, Escalators and Moving Walks.
John Farrow
John Farrow (Sales Manager), joined the company in 2008.
John’s career spans more than 42 years in the industry, providing him the opportunity to acquire a range of skills through significant hands-on experience. In that time John has negotiated major contracts in Perth well in excess of $200 million, some of which include; Central Park Tower, BankWest Tower, David Jones Retail Centre, Burswood Hotel, Hyatt Hotel, QV1 Building, the Perth to Mandurah Rail Line, and many other significant projects.
John’s experience in all facets of the lift and building industry has given him the sound technical knowledge required to manage the company’s sales division. His role involves overseeing the preparation of tenders and estimates by the sales team, project planning, and liaison with contractors and customers on a daily basis. He successfully manages project expectations and maintains high levels of customer satisfaction.
John has attained qualifications in project management, sales management, mechanical drafting, air conditioning, and various builders’ registration courses.
