Subiaco Penthouse Home

A New York “penthouse” style home was designed for a professional couple in Subiaco Centro, Western Australia, overlooking centro park. Its walls, roof, decor and overall architecture are nothing short of extraordinary. The owners self-designed the home to meet their specific comforts and needs for the next 20 years. With that in mind and due to the large amount of entertaining they would be doing, they wanted to include a trendy, high-performance elevator in the home. They also felt the lift would prove very useful as they grew older and less mobile.

With a high propensity for flair and perfection, the architect contacted Grant Elevators to design and install their elevator. The lift selected for this residential marvel was the Grant Elevator SE Lift, a premium, fully automatic elevator that features a modest pit and headroom requirements combined with a quality standard design to overcome architectural barriers faced by other elevators. Intended for residential application, this lift has a carrying capacity of up to 600kg (8 passengers). The lift includes a technologically advanced hydraulic power system to provide passenger comfort in a smooth, quiet ride.

With chic wooden plank floors and a glass dual entrance, the SE lift has a number of safety measures including a safety check valve, door lock valve, UP direction valve with high pressure relief, automatic leveling and re‐leveling, a soft-stop feature and more.
