Sprint Lift Solves Problems Case Study
Sep 2011How a customised Sprint replaced an inferior product
"I want to thank your company for supplying and installing a top quality Grant lift at my home."
That quote comes from a letter a client sent us recently after we replaced another company’s inferior and potentially dangerous equipment.
The client began to experience problems immediately after installing our competitor’s elevator in his new home. The lift constantly broke down and the supplier ignored frequent requests to fix it.
In addition to the complete lack of customer service, the lift was substandard and failed to meet Australian Safety Standards. On one occasion, the owner opened the door on the upper level of his house to find an empty elevator shaft. Luckily, it was daytime. If it had been night, the owner may have stepped through the doorway in the darkness, unaware the lift car was one floor below, and fallen down the shaft.
Following this incident, the owner made the understandable decision to find another company to remove the defective lift and supply a replacement.
After considering a number of alternatives, he chose a Grant Elevators Sprint lift. We customised it to fit the existing shaft while providing the maximum possible interior space.
The Sprint has operated efficiently since installation and the client is highly appreciative of our professional service and advice.
