As well as serving its practical function of moving people between five levels, the Express MRL complements the building’s architecture and interior design. We became involved in the project during the planning phase when the importance of selecting both the right elevator and the right supplier became obvious.

The Express MRL, which has advanced machine room-less engineering, was the logical choice for a number of reasons.

There were immediate gains from lower initial building costs and shorter timelines. This is because the elevator takes up only minimal floor space and requires no separate machine room.

There are also significant energy efficiency and environmental protection advantages. The Express MRL uses about 30 per cent less electricity than a lift with conventional engineering and only a tiny amount of lubricating oil.

For residents and their guests, the Express MRL means a quiet, smooth and rapid ride. Its passenger carrying capacity makes it unlikely that anybody will ever have to put up with the inconvenience of “waiting for the next lift”.
