2009/10 Appealathon Home Case Study
May 2010Featuring Grant Elevators Sprint SE Lift
The 2009/10 Appealathon Home convincingly demonstrates how a lift from Grant Elevators can enhance the most prestigious residence. We supplied and installed a Sprint SE lift that is completely standard apart from the carpet on its floor.
Zorzi Builders designed and built the two-storey mansion at 11 Jutland Parade, Dalkeith that has an estimated market value of around $10 million. Proceeds will go to Appealathon beneficiaries the Paraplegic-Quadriplegic Association of W.A and the Civilian Maimed and Limbless Association of Western Australia.
The home has an impeccable quality of workmanship and impressive specifications that include the latest in security and technology. There are four bedrooms, three bathrooms, powder room, home cinema, study, four- car garage, landscaped pool and sustainable gardens.
One of Zorzi Builders design objectives was to show that there is a more efficient way of using scarce suburban real estate than the traditional family home. The result is an amazing house with separate, self-contained living areas that allow three generations of one family to live under one roof.
An essential component of this concept is the lift between floors. One of the benefits of a domestic lift is that it helps older members of a family to remain in residence for a longer time. In the 2009/10 Appealathon Home, the lift creates an added advantage because it combines with wide doors on an upstairs bedroom and ensuite to make the house completely accessible by wheelchair.
In consultation with Zorzi Builders, we identified the Sprint SE as the most appropriate product for their requirements. It integrates perfectly with the surrounding architectural detail, has minimal pit and headroom requirements, carries up to 13 people and is fully automated. There is a wide choice of colours for the interior cladding and features that include a handrail, ceiling lights and stainless steel control panel.
We are proud to have had the opportunity to provide the Sprint SE and know that it will still be adding value and practicality to the 2009/10 Appealathon Home many years from now.
